Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Tuvli is seeking a senior-level Oracle database administrator to join our team supporting our Federal Government client in North Bethesda, Maryland.

Responsibilities

Provides direction and mentorship to support the success of the entire team

Installs, configures, and maintains Oracle RAC on multiple platforms

Identifies and resolves database issues related to performance and capacity

Migrates databases within and across different platforms

Reduces operational time and complexity by automating common procedures/tasks

Creates and maintains a documented library of re-usable processes and procedures, both automated and manual

Discusses database related topics with both technical and business audiences

Participates in on-call rotation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field

15+ years of related experience is required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated ability leading a successful team

Extensive experience managing Oracle RDBMS on *nix platforms

Expert working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 19c

Expert working knowledge of Oracle RAC

Expert in common Oracle RDBMS utilities, emphasis on RMAN and Data Pump

Familiar with Oracle database STIG compliance, Oracle Advanced Security and Security compliance best practices

Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, Python, and Perl

Experience with Oracle Cloud Control 13c monitoring and reporting

Experience with managing Oracle RDBMS on Oracle Exadata platform

Hands on experience with database management on AWS RDS environments

The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder

Be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

Pay Range

$130,000 to $150,000
