We are offering an exciting opportunity in Montpelier, Vermont for a Sr. Payroll Tax Accountant. This role functions within the industry of accounting, where you will be responsible for reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, and handling various payroll tax-related duties. Responsibilities: • Handle account reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial data is accurate • Maintain and manage the general ledger, keeping it updated with recent transactions • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data management • Conduct payroll tax reporting and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations • Manage payroll taxes and ensure timely and accurate payments • Prepare payroll tax returns, reviewing for accuracy before submission • Handle year-end payroll duties, ensuring all data is accurate and ready for the new fiscal year • Reconcile payroll data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies • Manage payroll tax deposits, ensuring they are accurately calculated and paid on time Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Familiarity with General Ledger is required for effective tracking and reporting of financial transactions • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is necessary • Experience in Payroll Tax Reporting is essential for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes is critical for accurate calculation and timely payment • Proficiency in preparing Payroll Tax Returns is needed to meet regulatory requirements • Understanding of Tax - Payroll is crucial to ensure correct deductions and compliance with laws • Experience in Year-end Payroll processes is required for accurate year-end reporting • Ability to Reconcile Payroll is necessary to ensure correct wages are paid and discrepancies are resolved • Experience in handling Payroll Tax Deposits is needed to ensure timely and accurate payment of taxes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
