Sr. Payroll Manager (USA & CAN)
Job Description

And are you a dedicated people leader? If so, you might be a perfect fit for our new position as Senior Payroll Manager, Americas.

 

We are in the process of designing a new HR delivery model in Danfoss. This means you will be part of establishing a new HR Services organisation with a strong pioneering spirit and an ambition to deliver state of the art HR services to our business.

 

You will be heavily involved in our payroll and time system consolidation and implementation project. This gives you the chance to contribute to the shaping of the Payroll & Time strategy and system landscape of the future.

You will lead the Payroll & Time organization and be overall responsible for all end-to-end payroll and time processes ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations as well as supervising the payroll team and maintaining accurate payroll records. In everything you do, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across our matrix organization to ensure local buy-in and a smooth transition process. 

You will join a diverse, international, and highly skilled HR community, and report to the Head of HR Services, Americas. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Play a key role on a big transformation journey where we are streamlining our system landscape, reorganizing our payroll set-up, and changing our HR delivery model.

Lead the Americas payroll organization by role modelling our company values and by focusing on employee development and well-being.

Overall responsible for all end-to-end payroll and time related processes.

Collaborate with IT and external vendors on system design, improvements, and integrations.

Provide and analyze advanced payroll and time reports.

Manage audits and compliance reviews.

Map, design and continuously improve payroll and time management processes and procedures to streamline operations.

Manage country payroll projects aimed at harmonizing payroll processes, policies, and systems across the organizations in Americas

Relevant bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or a related field (or have equivalent work experience).

 

Minimum 5 years of experience as Payroll Manager handling USA and CAN payroll operations High level understanding of regulatory and tax landscape in the relevant countries Experience in benefit scheme administration Payroll and HCM system experience (SAP SuccessFactors, UKG is a plus) Robust experience leading and inspiring cross-country teams Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills  Ability to navigate in high complexity areas excellent communication skills Proficient English skills Danfoss – Engineering Tomorrow
