Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public. **JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES** **Sterile Compounding/Preparation** Demonstrates proficiency in the following areas, meeting accuracy and productivity standards: a. hazardous and non-hazardous b. investigational drug preparation (including Phase 1, 2, and 3). c. viral/BCG/vaccines d. intrathecal e. ambulatory pumps f. high risk sterile validation **Inventory Management** a. Reviews and monitors par levels b. Reconciles inventory counts in appropriate systems c. Properly manages vial inventory (e.g. lot management access) d. Ordering/receiving medications and supplies e. Tech-Check-Tech certified (per area) f. Accurately and efficiently completes cycle counts and inventory audits g. Troubleshoots, reports, and follows-up with medication storage devices (e.g. refrigerators) h. Resolves controlled access cabinet discrepancy reports i. Reviews and addresses recall notification requests **Area Maintenance** a. Equipment maintenance (e.g. balances, printers, computers, scanners) b. Process review and document updates (e.g. SOPs, competencies) c. CADD pump and supply management d. Alaris pump preventative maintenance and library update management e.
