Sr. Planned Maintenance Systems Specialist

The Senior Specialist in Planned Maintenance Systems “PMS” is responsible for developing, maintaining, and driving continual improvement in the maintenance system, ensuring that the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) complies with all regulatory bodies (internal and external) This includes managing equipment lists, classifications (flag, classification societies, and company-defined criticality), and job cards, as well as running feasibility analyses to align labor hours with shipboard resource availability. Additionally, the specialist interprets and presents KPI report results prepared by the analyst(s)

Essential Functions:

Manage the PMS Manager inbox, Implement necessary changes to the Planned Maintenance System in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts. This includes referring to global health, environmental safety, and security procedures, and coordinating with the Technical Operation Manager and Subject Matter Experts to keep the planned maintenance details updated Oversee the validation, verification, and correction of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) before ships are migrated to the new Maritime Asset Strategic Transformation (MAST) System. This involves ensuring that all data and processes are accurate and up-to-date to facilitate a smooth transition Oversee and address the Planned Maintenance tickets related to Amos Data Management (ADM) and Azure Development Option Maritime Asset Strategy (ADO MAS). This involves ensuring that all maintenance tickets are properly managed and resolved in a timely manner Review and ensure that proper conformity reports, statistical analyses, KPIs, and any other necessary documentation are provided to the Director of Marine Asset Management and the Fleet Operations Center (FOC) regarding the status of equipment maintenance. This includes ensuring that all reports and analyses are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered in a timely manner Monitor shipboard activities to ensure tasks meet CCL deadlines and report any noncompliance to Technical Operation Managers and/ or Subject Matter Experts for follow-up. This involves keeping a close eye on shipboard operations and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and in accordance with company standards. Continuously improve jobs and processes for Planned Maintenance Systems. Ensure that safety and environmental equipment have current maintenance plans. Coordinate with sister brands to maintain consistency across the fleet. Review and propose optimizations to existing PMS structures Conduct problem analysis processes: Identify recurring incidents, evaluate appropriate alternatives, recommend solutions, and manage the implementation of the approved resolution plan Lead and coach analysts and asset management teams during shipboard maintenance visits, internal reviews, and general operations. Ensure a standardized approach is maintained throughout these activities. May be involved is other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree - Engineering school degree. Master's Degree preferred Licensed Marine Engineer preferred 5+ years of work in technical engineer field required Experience in cruise industry, coast guard or similar preferred Previous ship board experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Skilled in extracting and manipulating data from systems including InfoShip, AMOS, Maximo, SAP, and SQL. Proficient in ship's machinery and safety equipment. Excellent communication and organizational skills; Experience managing large quantities of data,  Proficient in computer applications and technical software tools such as Excel, Power BI, Project, Planner, and PowerPoint. Fully understand all external regulations for marine planned maintenance. Understand and adhere to our Corporate Standards on Health, Environmental, Security, Maritime Safety, and Environmental Compliance.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: 25% to 50% ship-based travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
