The Sr. Production Planner - Xi is responsible for managing the flow of all Xi materials to ensure that the production process is supported with the appropriate quantity and quality of raw materials, components, and supplies and that all Xi parts are available for consumption to the designated aircraft without disruption to the assembly line. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, production teams, and inventory management to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules while optimizing inventory levels, minimizing waste, and reducing costs.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Proficient in Production Materials Planner duties plus Analyze production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory levels to determine material requirements for production. Review material planning records, including bills of materials (BOM), and work orders to ensure proper identification of and build accuracy for all Xi parts. Review Xi parts to ensure aesthetics are correct to intended design. Develop standardized workflows for repeated configurations of Xi parts and memorialize to ensure program continuity and improvement. Perform periodic physical inventory counts and ensure accuracy between actual stock and system records. Coordinate and Schedule any “non-standard” internal processing of Xi parts to ensure production timelines are met. Collaborate with the production team to align material availability with production schedules and timelines. Work with other departments such as engineering, quality control, design, purchasing, and logistics to resolve any material or production issues. Respond quickly to changes in production schedules or unplanned downtime to ensure material availability. Assist in evaluating and selecting new suppliers or alternative materials when necessary. Monitor material usage and report on trends to identify potential issues with supply or inventory. Prepare and present regular reports on material availability, inventory levels, and production progress. Use ERP/MRP systems or other software to generate and analyze data related to material planning and work orders Identify areas for improvement in the Xi process and align with cross-functional team members to implement. Recommend and help implement Xi process changes that increase efficiency and reduce costs. Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on material needs, production schedules, and overall goalsQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or other supply chain roles. Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems. Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is highly desirable. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies preferred Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling techniques (APS, JIT, etc.) Familiarity with global supply chains and internation sourcing preferred
