Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant- Sr. Developer – Data Engineer
Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes on AWS using Lambda functions, S3 buckets, Glue, Step functions
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
3. Associate should have good understanding of AWS services
4. Person can Design and develop data processing pipelines using AWS services including Glue, Pyspark programming
5. Write efficient Python code for data transformation and analysis
6. Associate should be able to build consumer facing APIs using python
7. He/she should have experience on database development
8. Understand and develop infrastructure/code optimized for cost and resource
9. Hands-on Python experience including Batch scripting, data manipulation, distributable packages
10. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
11. Experienced and proactive in end-to-end data validation
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and systems.
13. Perform performance tuning and optimization of data processing jobs.
14. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and AWS services.
15. Person should be able to carry the conversations around delivery timelines, designs with the stage holders. And proactively suggest the ideas for course change, if any.
16. Associate should have experience in Team handling and task reporting.
17. Associate should work in tandem with Genpact leadership for the quality delivery, project handling, growth aspects and risk mitigations,if any.
18. Should have familiarity with LLMs
19. Should have understanding of CI/CD pipelines/version control


Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
2. Person can Design and develop data processing pipelines using AWS services including Glue, Pyspark programming
3. Write efficient Python code for data transformation and analysis
4. Associate should be able to build consumer facing APIs using python
5. Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
6. Strong understanding of database systems and data warehousing concepts
7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
8. Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
9. Ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code.

Preferred Qualifications/skills will be plus:
1. Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
2. AWS certification in data engineering or related field.
3. Experience with other AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, StepFunctions.
4. Experience Metadata tool and metadata management tool.
5. Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
6. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
