This role is open for remote work in the US. The Sr. Principal Cyber Metrics & Reporting Engineer is a highly collaborative role focused on creating a transparent environment through robust dashboards. This position encompasses championing requirements development, implementing innovative analytics to enhance efficiencies, and promoting cybersecurity accountability. Partnering with multi-functional teams in data & analytics, product & service ownership, and business information security capabilities, you will apply strategic data storytelling techniques to translate requirements into insights that drive impactful, data-led decision-making. This role involves gathering and documenting requirements, developing calculations for executive dashboards and Key Risk Metrics, and shaping data storytelling in collaboration with key stakeholders. In this position, you will lead the Metrics and Reporting service while being accountable for identifying the strategic intent of dashboards and reports, mapping requirements, and designing alternative methods to generate insights relevant to senior partners and the business. Additionally, you will conduct requirements analysis and quality assessments, performing testing on reports to ensure data accuracy, visual integrity, and usability. Collaborating closely with visualization and data analytics teams, you will address any identified issues while conducting data discovery tied to requirements, including exploratory data analysis and data quality assessments. Responsible for translating data into value, you will assess effective data visualization and trending analytics aligned with business and cybersecurity objectives while developing metrics for performance measurement through automated dashboards. **Responsibilities:** + As part of our multi-year strategy, shape, develop and implement an effective cybersecurity metrics & reporting requirements capability + Partner with customers to define report requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility + Documents detailed reporting specifications, including data sources, metrics, and presentation format. + Validates report designs, data, and developed reports against business requirements. + Conducts detailed testing on reports, focusing on data preciseness, visual integrity, and usability. + Works with visualization and data & analytics teams to resolve any identified issues. + Conduct data discovery tied to requirements, including exploratory data analysis, data quality assessment. + Analyze requirements and data sources to identify patterns, key insights, action items, and storytelling potential. + Translate data into value while assessing effective data visualization, experience design and trending analytics linked to business and cybersecurity objectives. + Describe the key elements of a successful data story: knowing one’s audience, defining a goal, maintaining engagement, and being explicit about the takeaways. + Measure how a data story achieves its intended goals and where it can be optimized. + Identify, design and implement requirements to inform reporting, dashboards and strategy. + Identify and create metrics to measure performance through automated dashboards. **Required Qualifications:** + Minimum Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Data analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. + A minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in cyber metrics and reporting, business analytics, requirements analysis, forecasting, industry research, planning, and/or management consulting required to enable data storytelling to enable visualization + Experience in SQL data modeling, SQL query development and understanding of ETL is required. + Understanding of designing and developing cybersecurity dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. + Strong experience with requirements analysis and testing + Awareness of relevant industry trends and standard processes in cybersecurity metrics and reporting. + Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive relevant insights and trends. + Ability to effectively collect and communicate complex information to customers. + Proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Superb communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to shape messages for various audiences; including insights to executive-level audiences. + Analytical approach, with the ability to analyze data and identify insights. + Strong collaboration and customer management skills with a track record of successful delivery across multi-functional teams. + Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization, from executive committee to individual employees. + Demonstrated Project Management, Scrum, Agile skills is required **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and risk management concepts. + Relevant certifications are highly desirable. + Expertise in domain specific data sets of cybersecurity and business data sources preferred + Diversity of experience is preferred, with demonstrated learning agility and application of new innovative skills/techniques + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is a plus + Certified Information Security Management (CISM) certification is a plus. + Metrics, Data & Analytics certification is a plus + Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP) + Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) + CDP Data Analyst + CDP Generalist + CompTIA Data+ Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate + IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate + Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate This position may require up to 10% travel _This is a_ _remote_ _role available in the US_ _. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
