What you'll be doingLead engineers and/or technicians in support of plant operations. Possess the ability to lead a multi-functional group for facility projects or be able to lead facilities projects as part of a larger project for other processes.With minimal guidance, schedule and lead teams through the planning and execution of large projects or programs. This includes constructing detailed, accurate project schedules and collaborating with technical support groups.Devises innovative approaches to sophisticated problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles.Performs financial planning and assists in the analysis to rationalize project approval.Supports manufacturing group through improvements to manufacturing equipment and processes.Reviews equipment trends to identify areas of improvement related to yield, downtime, efficiency, etc.Works within small project teams as an authority and/or project leader to accomplish project objectives including process improvements and project implementation.Independently plans, schedules and leads multi-functional team in detailed phases of the engineering work in a project.Investigates and analyzes customer problems and develops improvements.Performs and documents process modifications, and system functional specification updates while adhering to documentation and change control requirements.Prepares standard operating procedures for new and existing control equipment.Supplies and/or leads cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds.Ability to work on PLC, HMI and drivesExperience controls engineerAbility to be self-motivated, work independently, and prioritize multiple tasks.

Knowledge, Skill and AbilitiesMust have experience or advanced training and show strength (e.g. computer-aided design, total quality management, statistical methods, problem analysis and resolution, materials science, design of experiments, software development)Completely proficient in relevant products or process development processes.Successful track record of leading multifaceted activities within the business unit.Demonstrates leadership skills.Recognized as a technical guide by peers and other personnel within the business unit.Extensive multi-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.Ability to organize and present technical and project mgt. overviews without assistance.Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to connect with other team members.Display a solid understanding of theories/practices applied by other fields outside primary area of expertise.Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods. What you'll bringBachelor of Science in Engineering8 - 10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.Preferred Mechanical or Civil Engineering.PMP Certification a plus but not required. Licensed professional engineer a plus but not required.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 - $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
