Help us build Autodesk’s Forge platform to empower developers achieve the new possible. You will be part of the team responsible for designing and building critically important interoperability software components used in CAD applications like AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit and Alias. Location: Novi, Michigan **Responsibilities** + Design and implement reusable software components and APIs as part of an Agile team + Take ownership of the implementation of CAD data exchange software components and features, with high emphasis on quality and sound software engineering practices + Participate in software design reviews, conduct code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team + Create documents and diagrams to outline relationships between subsystems and participate in reviews of those designs + Cross-team collaboration and coordination with stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, available and scalable releases **Minimum Qualifications** + M.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar experience (Ph.D, preferred) + 10+ years of hands-on software development experience using Modern C++ Strong mathematical background in geometric modeling, linear algebra, numerical methods, spline curves and surfaces, computational geometry + Knowledge of good software architecture practices including design patterns, object-oriented programming, and complex software systems + Experience with commercial CAD software like Inventor, Revit, Fusion 360, NX, Solidworks, CATIA + Proven team leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to get things done + Strong analytical capability and ability to learn new technical domains quickly **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with solving data exchange and interoperability problems in the CAD industry + Experience with designing and developing robust and performant APIs, libraries and reusable components + Experience with cross platform software development + Multithreaded programming, performance profiling and optimization + Experience with Test Driven Development and unit testing **Learn More** **About Autodesk** Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,800 and $260,150. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
