Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer - Program Technical Analyst (PTA) to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas.
This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.
Responsibilities:
PTAs work directly with the MCTSP Program Manager (PM) or designated representative to provide expertise in MISSION command training strategy and simulation systems required to support trainingThe two-person team is composed of analysts who are well versed in Army Combined Arms Training Strategy (or most recently Headquarters, United States Department of the Army / HQDA Approved Training Strategy) requirements as they pertain to readiness, and the broad spectrum of Army information systems required to train MISSION commandProvides support to ARNG MCTSP projects through planning, preparing, executing, and providing recommendations to assist in conduct of strategic decision makingProvides doctrinal and technical advisory assistance, briefing support, and assistance with program initiatives to include special reports, meetings, white papers, and other program initiativesInteracts with the National Simulations Center (NSC), Program Executive Ofice – Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) and other enterprise partners as requested by the PMThis duty shall be consistent with contract provisions for frequent travel to the National Capital Region (NCR) at the request of the PMBasic Qualifications:
One of the following:Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of FA57 experience which includes supporting MISSION command exercises and MISSION command information systems’ trainingMaster’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of FA57 experience which includes supporting MISSION command exercises and MISSION command information systems’ trainingGraduate of the US Army Simulations Operations CourseExperience and a thorough working knowledge of the following: Training Support System Enterprise (TSS-E), NSC, PEO-STRI, and Army Capabilities Manager – Constructive (ACM-C)Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearanceMust be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, KansasPreferred Qualifications:
Understanding of mission command training at the battalion, brigade, and/or division levels of the ArmySalary Range: $89,100.00 - $133,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
