Sr. Print Operator (On-site, night shift)

Broadridge is growing, and we have an outstanding opportunity for you to join our operations team. We are looking for a Sr. Print Operator to join our team in Deer Park, NY. This role is in our Customer Communications Division, which offers a full range of multi-channel communications solutions, such as integrated print, mail and digital solutions for transactional, marketing and compliance communications. In this role, you will perform all aspects of Archival and/or Machine Operations activities. Your primary function in this role is to perform actual production work, maintain equipment and any other duties/responsibilities as needed. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

Shift- Night Shift 10:00 PM - 6:30 AMMonitor quality by reviewing printed, stitched, and perfectly bound material as jobs are being processed.Troubleshooting production issues as necessary.Train operators on all equipment and applications.Review print requests and logs to ensure operators sign them on a timely basis and verify that the proper files are being printed/ finished correctly.Maximize productivity by ensuring that all staff and equipment are being optimally utilized.Ensure that all equipment problems are reported to management and the appropriate vendor on a timely basis.Communicate backlog/production information to the Planning/Analysis team to identify situations where incoming volumes need to be outsourced or client job completion time expectations need to be reset.Monitor Print DDS paper and supply inventory (toner, fuser oil, cutter blades, perfect binding glue, etc.) daily and order supplies from the warehouse as necessary to maintain appropriate stock levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school graduate with equivalent experienceTwo years of experience in aprint/production/operations/manufacturing/retail environment. Knowledge of print technology preferred.Solid technical skills including the ability to work with PDF/Postscript files, and Excel spreadsheets (including basic formulas, charting, pivot tables, and data sorting).Strong oral and written communication skills.Solid organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Soft skills are necessary.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively consolidate and report critical information to management.Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a team environment.Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Must be able to work effectively under tight deadlines.Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Flexible schedule for weekend work including overtime.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour depending on experienceAnnual Bonus: $1,250 bonus recurring every year.Benefits: Medical, dental, life and vision insurance. 401k w/ match, parental leave, and more.
