The Opportunity

Our location in Sylmar, CA currently has an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Analyst, at Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Division.  

Abbott CRM is a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, focusing on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

The Senior Procurement Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of Strategic Procurement and supports the managers of mechanical, electronics and TPM/externals departments.  This position will be responsible for a combination of initiatives to deliver greater value to our organization, including but not limited to sourcing optimization, spend analytics, hedging programs and serving as a central point of key business processes, ad hoc reporting, and presentations. The ideal candidate will be high potential and have the capability and people leadership skills to grow towards future Supply Chain or Finance roles in the business. This role will have solid visibility and exposure to Senior Leaders across the CRM Division, and expectations will be high.

What You’ll Work On

Manages financial processes associated with strategic procurement activities, including but not limited to PPV Cost Savings, PPV Roadmap, Project Expense, Capital Investments, and Supplier Forecasts.Maintains robust tracking of multiple detailed financial inputs and processes through complex Excel files utilizing advanced system knowledge and functions. Optimizes processes and tools to create efficiency and agility for analysis and reporting.Develops and maintains Procurement Dashboard for financial and non-financial related progress. Leads on-going PPV reviews across CRM division with manufacturing site leadership, Category Managers, and Finance to drive financial goal attainment through detailed reporting, gap analysis, project tracking and pipeline review, compliance to plan, and savings projection forecast. Creates executive level presentations to effectively demonstrate status and meaningful insight to financial related components within function. Supports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning process reports to senior level management.Leads annual standard cost setting process across CRM network.  Able to provide justification to support proposal. Works closely with finance counterpart to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting, tracking, and projections.Ad hoc detailed spend analysis on key categories of spend globally to support Category Managers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required Experience

Bachelors Degree, and 6 years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, supply chain finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceAdvanced Excel and systems knowledge is a requirementExperience with business intelligence platforms – Power BI, Tableau, etc.Experience with ETL tools – Power Query, Alteryx, etc.

Bachelors Degree In Finance or Business degree preferredFinance background or deep understanding

The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 – $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
