Sr. Product and Process Developer

Make It With Pride.** As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience. **How you will contribute** Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage. **What you will bring** A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: + Process development and/or process deployment ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods environment + Leading project teams and influencing cross-functional teams + Planning and delivering on multiple priorities + Identifying complex technical or business problems and creating and implementing solutions + Understanding equipment design and manufacturing processes to support process specifications + Using technical data to influence stakeholders + Coaching and mentoring others in a process community + Being a constant champion for the consumer **Additional Job Description** The holder of this position plans and co-ordinates independently or with a minimum support large to medium sized projects from R&D, which includes industrial and benchtop trials, startups, specification work and a high level of organization required. They will deliver expert technical knowledge for product and process development for chocolate, develop solutions to problems, ensures compliance to technical policies & procedures and delivers the technical input to address business needs. Executes against objectives and significantly influences the direction and quality of work done by other technical people. This person will work for Chocolate North America through execution in Mexico. **Job specific requirements:** 1) Drive excellence in Project Management. 2) Plan and executes work plans, including development of risk assessments, timelines and contingency plans. 3) Conduct and analyze results of experiments and translate them into actionable recommendations with minimum support. 4) Ability to conduct independently industrial trials and bench top trial. 5) Have high knowledge of the commercialization process and be able to work collaboratively with the cross-functional partners. 6) Identify necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives. In addition, the candidate should have good understanding of the functional characteristics of ingredients, packaging materials, and processing capabilities and how they impact the finished product, to meet consumer and business expectations. 7) Be able to understand long-term consequences of decisions 8) Applies advanced technical knowledge of impact of formulation, process changes and/or interactions on product characteristics and consumer impact in project work and provide support to the cross functional team. 9) Build specifications and technical documents. 10) Ability to work closely with the NA team from Mexico Location. The candidate must be versatile and be able to work in cross-functional teams. The candidate must be capable of working proactively across multiple projects. The candidate should be able to leverage the value in MDLZ experts/partners, demonstrate and utilize an understanding of the NA supply chain network, and ensure compliance to quality documentation, regulatory requirements, FTO/IP, and confidentiality requirements. **Qualifications, Education and Work Schedule:** + BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field. + Advanced English skills is required. + Minimum of 6 yrs. experience, preferably in the food industry. + Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity. + Ability to develop, plan for, and carry out plant trials + Able to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings. + Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize activities with minimum support - from bench top to commercialization. + Participate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues. + Write process specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities. + Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization. + Advanced English is required. + Digital skills are desired. + Travel up to 25%, to potential locations in Canada, Europe, US. + Full time salary, typical business hours with flexibility for trials outside of normal business hours.
