Role Purpose: Responsible for maintaining the division's global product specifications, ensuring they meet customer needs and support the achievement of the division's product line goals. This role acts as a bridge between Division Engineering, Technology Community, Manufacturing, Sales, and the customer, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead customer engagement for solar wafer product qualification, including measurement alignment, technical specification development and issue resolution as the primary point of contact. Create optimized specifications that balance manufacturing capabilities, cost requirements, and industry standards while maintain technical validation of performance criteria. Gather customer requirements, quantify technical improvements, lead customer qualification, and build compelling value propositions. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives between commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and technology teams to optimize product development, validate process improvements, and conduct cost/benefit analyses. Manage technical documentation and knowledge transfer by maintaining customer requirements database, documenting product specifications, and communicating capabilities benefits to internal and external stakeholders.
Required:
BS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Chemical Engineering 5 - 7 years of expertise in CAD and Solid Works/mechanical design 5 - 7 years of manufacturing experience including New Production Introduction (NPI) and with FMEA’s and MSA’s 5 - 7 years of experience with statistical software (JMP, Mini Tab) 5 - 7 years of experience with measurements/tuning tools for alpha/beta loss
Desired:
Master's or PhD Degree in a technical field, with a focus on solar energy or materials engineering Experience working with external customers Experience as a Process or Product Engineer in Manufacturing or a demonstrated track record of solving manufacturing process issues
Other:
Up to 25% domestic and international travel (especially China and Vietnam) Because of the geographic diversity of members of the project team, customers and suppliers, significant time flexibility is required due to time zone differences

The range for this position is $89,719.00 - $123,364.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
