As a Product Line Manager, you will be a key part of a flexible team with critical roles at every stage of product development, from defining new products to supporting them through development and being the primary responsible party for launching the device. In addition, you will be responsible for strategy, promotion and direction for customer and sales support for a wide variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Identifying market opportunities and creating customer requirements documents and product requirements documents for new product opportunities.
- Ensure that product justifications are well researched, justified and structured to gain maximum ROI for Skyworks and market penetration growth.
- Bringing your identified opportunities to life by leading cross-functional groups to translate customer needs into product specific requirements.
- Assist in setting roadmaps and business direction, be involved in customer / market development activities through a close working relationship with sales.
- Develop high-quality collateral for use by field sales, distribution and customers to promote new and existing products.
- Identify key competitors and develop competitive analysis and cross reference guides that can be used as sales tools.
- Analyze market trends with customers competition, sales, opportunities etc. to come up with concrete recommendations and actions for improvement.
- Interface with planning and operations team to ensure we can accurately predict build volumes and meet upside opportunities.
- Promote new products and support sales through in-person meetings at customer locations and trade shows.
- Work with and drive cross-functional teams (including design, applications, systems, project management etc.) to ensure schedules and product definitions meet customer and market needs.
- Support sales and product marketing teams in setting appropriate pricing for different opportunities and markets.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated competence in technical marketing for semiconductor products.
- Strong technical background and ability to understand and author detailed technical documentation.
- Comfortable interfacing with and tailoring content to varying levels of technical expertise and care-abouts – from management to procurement to engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a multi-national, multi-cultural team across different time zones.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Responsive, self-driven and directed, with strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience in applications, design or systems roles in semiconductors a plus.
- Experience with power electronics a plus.
