PitchBook’s Senior Product Manager acts as a leader of broad product strategy, subject matter expert (SME) and go-to resource for their subject matter across PitchBook. They work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute the product roadmap. This role champions the needs of our clients, pain point and business opportunities across the organization, and serves as a mentor for team members on the Product Management process.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nOwn and be accountable for important problems that are broad in scope and often bring ambiguous product areas into clear definition for team and peers \nActively define product roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities \nWork collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap \nCreate detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements \nCommunicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders, including engineering teams \nProactively improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes \nEstablish project goals, measure your business impact and prioritize additional opportunities for success \nInfluence product brand and experience decisions across teams \nGive compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision \nBecome a mentor for team members on the Product Management process \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field \n5+ years product management experience \nStrong bias for action \nExperience establishing customer-centric requirements and writing functional design specification documents to satisfy the requirements \nFamiliarity with machine learning and natural language processing techniques \nSelf-directed: sets and meets deadlines, multi-tasks and prioritizes \nWillingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals \nAbility to leverage tools (SQL, Mixpanel, FullStory) to quickly access and analyze data to drive product decision making \nTeam player that helps junior team members learn and grow \nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily \n\n

Compensation

\n\nAnnual base salary: $140,00-$180,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 10%\n\n

 

\n

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

\n

 

\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

\n

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
