Fortinet is actively seeking a Technical Product Manager with a focus on Secure SD-WAN and SD-Branch solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in deception technology and associated products and a deep understanding of Engineering development cycles, and the ability to engage with technical customers & field sales.
As a member of the PM team, the successful candidate will actively engage with System leaders to validate customer requests and prioritize effectively to drive business growth. Additionally, the PM will be an active member of the R&D team, defining functional specifications, breaking down feature requests, managing timelines & deliverables, and bringing new features/products to market.
Experience in Customer and field-facing technical roles is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
To distill customer business problems from internal and external stakeholder needs analysis and feedback. To work closely with field teams to define and prioritize development activities to ensure product requirements are captured and execution matches expectations. To generate a Product Roadmap and communicate as necessary, including both internal and external product evangelism. Work collaboratively with Sales and Engineering to prioritize development. To create regular reports to capture priorities from technical, commercial and support arenas to ensure effective allocation of resources and provide the necessary focus on current challenges. To provide support to field teams in customer engagements including, but not limited to technology overview, product details, product demos and technical expertise in order to drive product revenue. To monitor the competitive landscape and recommend solutions to extend product functionality. To write internal and public-facing technical documentation. Driving detection and response use cases and creating detection rules and response playbooks using FortiAnalyzer product Help to develop roadmap for content pack development Following up with MIS and InfoSec on their implementation progress and present the results Help to create reports they need Identify feature gaps/bugs Using/testing the product following the SecOps use cases and producing technical videos and help to validate the documentation Working closely with Dev/QA team to deliver SOC services/tools to the marketSkills and Experience:
Required:
3+ years experience working in product management, ideally with expertise in SOAR, SecOps or related technology Attention to detail and ability to coordinate with multiple teams across the organization Strong technical and market familiarity with deception technologies, the competitive landscape and the market direction. Hands-on experience in deployment and integration of deception technologies into the customer environment. Understanding of complex routing and overlay environments. Experience with detailed competitive analysis, product pricing and estimation. The individual should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the general product planning discipline, with previous cross-collaboration teamwork experience in working with development engineering, field sales and directly with customers. Candidates should have solid organizational skills and be excited about working hard in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Must be a team player and have exceptional communication skills.
