Our products and services are used in varying degrees in over 2,000 sites and support dozens of site types within the First, Middle, and Last Mile to impact ~1M Associates worldwide.
The vision of WO is to develop an efficient labor pool by producing cost-optimized planning, accurate and flexible schedules, and create a holistic learning and supportive experience for Associates while protecting their safety and data. Our strategy to achieve this vision includes simplifying decision-making for operators by bridging expected and actual outputs of our execution systems to eliminate the need for homegrown tools. Where applicable, we automate for zero-touch decisions to reduce the reliance on human intervention, institutional knowledge, and bias by building foundational products that are sources of truth and automate workflows and processes. For Associates, we establish tighter cohesion between learning and development programs to facilitate effective learning opportunities, improve knowledge retention to standard work, ensure they are qualified and proficient in performing their tasks, and influence productivity and retention through our programs for labor rotations and policy adherence.
As a Senior PMT, you are responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. This involves distilling clear requirements from diverse stakeholders, conducting market research and usability studies, and performing competitive analysis to identify the right solutions. You write press releases to ensure you're building the right product, and make strategic decisions on when to build, improve, or integrate existing features for the best customer experience. You influence technical priorities and business strategy, align teams around customer needs, and make smart trade-offs to drive appropriate schedules.
You also have a strong technical understanding of the systems and technologies behind your product. You can articulate technical requirements, discuss technology offerings, and mitigate risks to reduce classic failure modes. You use your technical judgment to test assumptions, escalate issues when needed, and build consensus to find the best path forward. Additionally, you develop product plans with clear success criteria, define mechanisms and metrics to track performance, ensure product quality, and may be responsible for evangelism and marketing activities.
Key job responsibilities
• You work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver large or significant features successfully. Your efforts result in measurable improvements to your customer’s experience.
• You own defining the strategic vision for major features or a product, establishing a roadmap, and have a track record of successfully driving engineering teams to deliver on that vision. You make crisp decisions about what projects move forward and in what priority order. You successfully manage all stages of the lifecycle (from concept to delivery).
• You understand the architecture of the systems and technologies behind your product (e.g., workflows, APIs, runtime characteristics, design limitations, and maintenance requirements).
• You are able to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions. You successfully make a case for resource allocation to achieve a desired customer or business outcome.
• You communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences. You are able to write narratives, PR/FAQs, and other strategic documentation.
• You foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus). You partner successfully with technical and non-technical customers, stakeholders, compliance, and engineering teams.
• Your product management practices set a great example to others. You routinely and efficiently deliver the right things. You are a simplifier. You judiciously add, refine, and remove features. You proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
