Sr. Product Manager - Technical
Description AWS Health is looking for an experienced product leader to help define and build the future of event management services at AWS. Our organization has the charter to build software at the core of AWS by providing proactive insights about the health and availability of AWS services. Customers around the world rely on AWS Health to provide clear and real time visibility when changes or issues affect their AWS resources. Within AWS Health, you will work with our teams responsible for external-facing experiences and endpoints, used by diverse global customers ranging from startups to well-known Fortune 100 enterprises. As a Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will own and drive the full product management lifecycle across a set of critical external services and experiences. You will have the opportunity to deliver entirely new experiences through innovative solutions in AI/ML and generative AI. As a member of the AWS Health Product Management team, you will join other expert product and engineering leaders to create the future of event management. The ideal candidate will be excited to lead the evolution of our external experience and is deeply passionate about working with great teams that deliver the highest quality services. You are naturally customer centric and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and solid communication skills. This role is based at our brand-new office in Cape Town, where you will work alongside talented teams of engineers, engineering leaders, and product managers. Your days will be fast-paced and dynamic, balancing priorities across engaging with customers, documenting product proposals, and managing technical projects. Occasional international travel is required to visit customers and meet with the broader leadership team. Key job responsibilities · Lead the definition and execution of the product strategy for the AWS Health external services and experiences · Define and gather the necessary inputs to make high-quality product and roadmap decisions · Work with leaders across AWS, Amazon, and our partners to drive towards our vision · Define project requirements, priorities, methods for measurement and track their execution and success. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience - Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market) - Communicate with senior management on project status, strategy, risks, and issues. - Work closely with multiple engineering teams and designers to deliver results to customer. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience creating products and services that leverage AI/ML or Generative AI Amazon is an equal opportunities employer, and we value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.
