Sr. Product Specialist
Description and Requirements The Senior Specialist leads special initiatives, small to mid-scale initiatives, and ad-hoc activities. This includes collaboration and coordination with internal business partners, contributors, and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities. The Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting the Manager, Senior Manager, and Director with various product initiative planning and execution for initiatives included within the Healthfirst product portfolio, including collecting/organizing documentation to successful execution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Participates in product driven workgroups to provide input to product designs/enhancements and implementation plans.Works closely with cross functional teams such as Enrollment & Billing, Claims, Member Services, Compliance, Sales, Finance, Clinical/Network Management, and senior management in implementing new products, product enhancements, business implementations and, end to end process improvements.Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to a project or assignment.Keeps all areas of the corporation informed through written and oral reports. Ensures communication to all areas impacted.Serves as the subject matter expert on product requirements to other business units.Must be able to perform additional duties as requiredParticipate in the CMS Bid Planning and Submission processesResearch and Analyze Market Trends

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED EquivalentExcellent communication skills and strong analytical ability required.Ability to work cross-functionally across departments.Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must be able to think strategically while managing tactical execution.Excellent organizational/project management skillsSense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives and deadlines1-2 years’ experience with Managed Care Plans and Medicare Plans

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skillsAble to work with people of varied management levelsKnowledge of Company policy, procedures and organizational structureMasters degree from an accredited institutionExperience completing and submitting a CMS Bid

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,400 - $78,030

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,800 - $74,120

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
