Title and Summary
Sr. Product UX/UI DesignerOverview:We are looking for a UX/ UI Designer to work together with Product Management. This role will be joining the Mastercard Safety Net Team. Safety Net leverages the Mastercard network to identify and limit issuer and acquirer losses from large-scale fraud attacks—providing an secondary layer of defense independent from customer systems—with selective controls that can block transactions for issuers based on multiple criteria while also alerting acquirers of suspect transactions.
By monitoring the network on a global scale, Safety Net identifies and limits the impact of cyber attacks if customer or processor systems are breached—helping to minimize their financial and reputational impact.
Role:
Provides designs specifications for and develops new products and services or their components. Defines functional and technical requirements. Researches new technologies and competitive products to develop additional product ideas and enhancements. Performs launch-related activities associated with new or highly customized product implementations, including marketing/communication and collateral. Defines business and technical requirements and manages the relationships of technical resources and the Global Technology Organization to maintain and build out platforms
Major Accountabilities:
•\tParticipate in the development of new products and product enhancements
•\tPerform assigned tasks in the product development life cycle; areas of focus may include features, benefits, pricing, rules, and implementation guidelines
•\tPlan and conduct UX research user research with clients and internal stakeholders to inform the team's priorities as well as the UX design
Leverage user research and collaboration with Product and Engineering to develop design documentation such as wireframes
Develop prototypes, visual designs, and interaction specs that communicate the details of your designs throughout the organization
Contribute to the ongoing refinement of our UX Design System
•\tProvide information to the technology organization to assist in translating product requirements into technical specifications
•\tWork with engineers and QA to ensure our designs are implemented in the best way imaginable
Learn new software, processes, and skills as we scale and build a world class UX Team
•\tContribute to the execution of the product marketing strategy including advertising, promotional and sales programs
•\tSupport product launches and implementations
•\tPrepare various reports on the status of project components Education:
•\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desirable
Knowledge / Experience:
•\tExperience payments industry and/or financial services experience
•\tExperience as a UX designer for enterprise web applications with a strong command of design best practices
•\tLeading meetings for diverse stakeholders with both technical and non-technical backgrounds
•\tWorking with modern design and prototyping tools
•\tExperience with conducting UX Research
•\tExperience in Product Design with the Customer Experience in mind
•\tBroad knowledge of product development functions
•\tPreferred experience in project management

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
