We are seeking an experienced Production Planner with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our planning group and work on a variety of planning and production initiatives to coordinate and balance inventory levels globally. While life science experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and create production orders for components and assemblies considering demand and lead times to optimize stock levels across the global network.
+ Generate MRP and coordinate with the Procurement Team to secure materials for production orders, manage inventory including safety stock and shelf life.
+ Communicate regularly with Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service Teams to make inventory decisions based on trends, inventory level goals, and customer order fill rates.
+ Plan and coordinate balanced inventory levels by distribution center (DC).
+ Establish and track KPI metrics.
+ Maintain MRP data.
+ Conduct quarterly E&O reserves.
+ Manage new production introduction timelines.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in manufacturing processes, planning, and scheduling.
+ Proficiency in MRP systems and supply chain management.
+ Experience in production planning and ERP systems (Oracle ERP, SAP ERP).
+ Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
+ Proficiency in Oracle Cloud, master data management, bill of material, and routing protocol.
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
+ Effective customer service skills.
+ Ability to establish and track KPIs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
+ 7-10 years of planning experience.
+ Proficient in MRP utilization for supply chain and inventory planning principles.
+ Experience with production planning, item master data (bills of material, routing, lot costing size, etc.), and capacity planning.
+ Experience with ERP systems, Oracle Cloud, or SAP is preferred.
+ Effective team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
+ Sense of urgency as to objectives and timelines, while maintaining flexibility to shifting priorities.
+ Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
+ Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
Work Environment
This position is on-site, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm, with flexible start times. The company is currently growing and expanding, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $43.00/hr.
