The Senior Production Specialist is responsible for the planning of production orders in support of the Erie Plant. This is a leadership role and is a key contact position within the Aerospace Materials Planning group. The Production Specialist has the authority to set priorities in the master production schedule and coordinates with shop floor supervision to execute their plan. This critical decision-making role manages material availability, along with machine and labor capacity to ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Managing the department’s order backlog to achieve on time delivery to customers and mitigating late orders.
+ Reviewing order changes, customer requests for delivery/order status and resolution of customer issues and concerns.
+ Maintaining sales projections and and communicating to appropriate levels of the organization.
+ Creating and releasing productin orders within the department.
+ Analyzing forecasts vs. actual demand vs. planned supply and making necessary adjustments to the plan.
+ Scheduling production needs within shop floor production areas to ensure supply plans are achieved.
+ All tasks facilitating the on-time shipment of quality products to satisfy customer needs while controlling inventory, past due, and cost
+ Managing other specialized tasks within an FAA repair station environment
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, and/or materials planning; demonstrated decision making ability, strong customer service, communication, analytic, and system skills.
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of SAP and scheduling transactions, experience in Aerospace manufacturing plants or Aerospace products.
