The University of Miami/UHealth has an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Program Coordinator in the Pathology Department.

CORE JOB SUMMARY                 

The Senior Program Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty and acts as a liaison between faculty, students, and other Universities. This position assists in the development, monitoring, and reporting of departmental budgets.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                           

Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program.

Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems.

Acts as an academic advisor for students in the program and as a career advisor for prospective and continuing students.

Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations.

Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan.

Assists with database maintenance and enrollment management.

Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner.

Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs.

Prepares faculty payroll for the program. Plans and participates in open houses for the department.

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Department Specific Functions

The Sr. Program Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for the multiple fellowships, medical student, and observer programs within the Department of Pathology assisting students and fellows with all education inquiries.

Works with the VC of Education, Director of Education, CME, and GME offices to remain compliant with all programs.

Will assist with trainee and rotating housestaff onboarding/offboarding, credentialing and orientation.

Participate in all education related projects and events as needed Will assist with purchasing, expenditures, and reimbursements for the Education Division.

Will assist with trainee leave of absence and payroll submissions.

Maintain all pathology learner subscriptions for the Education Division ACGME experience preferred.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                        

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.Commitment to the University’s core values.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
