The position supports and can directly influence Finance Automation including accumulated technical debts in AWS. The AWS FinTech organization builds new best-in-class internal finance products. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, requirement gathering, process design, and testing. The candidate would have experience working with engineering teams in process automation initiatives. This role is inherently cross-functional and highly visible with senior leadership. The leader will be passionate about customer experience, innovation, and cross-team partnerships to deliver business impact. They will prepare strategic recommendations, roadmaps and program updates to senior management. In this role you will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations with a singular focus on the long-term strategy of the AWS Finance organization. This role is inherently cross-functional, and you will work closely with tech engineering, product management, legal, finance, tax, and financial operations to deliver new capabilities to our customers. You will work across stakeholder groups to eliminate ambiguity while maintaining a firm grasp over the operational aspects of your programs. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications - 7+ years of program or project management experience - Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules - Good understanding of modern program management methodologies like Agile/Scrum/Lean, etc. and experience in partnering with engineering teams and basic understanding of the SDLC process. - Experience in understanding E2E process/data flows and identifying automation gaps. - Demonstrated ability to communicate and manage relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive results. - Experience optimizing for short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities. - Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives through influence versus direct management. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
