Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned program manager to be a key member of Samsung North America Services Business Organization (NASBO). This position will support Samsung’s Mobile Gaming Product team, working alongside Design, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, Curation, Operations and other regional counterparts and stakeholders to drive Mobile Gaming product end-to-end (from strategy through execution).This role must be able to work with global teams to manage deadlines, risks, and communicate effectively to cross-functional stakeholder teams and leaders. It also requires innovative thinking balanced with an operational focus, collaboration skills working with both technical and non-technical team members.
Role and Responsibilities
Delivery: Drive end-to-end program management (from strategy through execution) for all Mobile Gaming product workstreams, working alongside global design, engineering, business development, marketing, curation, operations, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring all dependencies are managed, and KPIs/MBOs are being metPlanning: Work with stakeholders to create plans, timelines and execution tasks, and drive and track all dependencies and tasks. Analyzing: Synthesize data, set actionable goals and drive metrics and execution. Work with Product and Data teams to define key KPIs/MBOs for the Product as a whole, as well as track and synthesize performance of the product, curations and/or marketing activities. Work with Product and Data to prepare reports to share-out at regular cadence.Reporting: Report and share-out product status updates with executive teams, peers and all stakeholders on a regular cadence. Communicating: high level and working level reporting including clear communications on priorities. Communicate status and dashboards on a regular basis with all stakeholders (i.e. team members, cross-functions, managers, executives)In addition:
Organize and lead and facilitate various team meetings.Partner with other Samsung global and regional teams throughout development and launch, and promote Gaming features into other services.Ensure that all stakeholders are aligned towards a common goal by meeting and receiving feedback on an ongoing basis and being in-sync with progress and roadblocks across various teams.Be able to identify and escalate issues quickly to keep projects moving.Skills and Qualifications
10 years+ of experience in program management working with global teamsBachelor's degree required/MBA a huge plus or equivalent in experienceExcellent program and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlinesExperience with Mobile, Cloud Gaming and/or digital media a plusExperience with execution in a global and matrixed organization.Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve complex issues collaborativelyMust be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.Advanced analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative as related to business metricsAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervisionExperience working with Asian / Korean teams and across geographies is preferredBi-lingual (Korean) a plusDemonstrated experience simultaneously working on multiple projects with multiple internal and external partners, and communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levelsAbility to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once. ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels and serve as a role model for teamworkCompensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA, is expected to be between $160,000 ~ $200,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
