Description
The Reverse Logistics Innovation, Experimentation, and Testing team supports the evolution of customer returns by prototyping and piloting advanced technologies and processes to assess effectiveness, feasibility, and impact before full adoption in the Ideal Customer Returns Center. Once proven, the team documents processes for seamless integration and transition to standardization and sustainment teams. In this position, you will identify and test transformative solutions that enhance network capabilities. Your duties will involve creating prototypes, assessing feasibility, and working closely with various teams to incorporate successful innovations into our operational processes.
The ideal candidate will ignite creativity and drive innovation by turning ideas into reality through proof-of-concept and experimentation projects within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. They should possess strong analytical skills and have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement through innovation. A deep understanding of material handling equipment and existing and emerging robotic technologies is essential.
This role interfaces with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones. Effective cross-functional coordination and a strong executive presence is essential to success. Familiarity with the ReLo network's challenges and opportunities will help tailor solutions effectively, and knowledge of program and project best practices will enhance their ability to lead successful initiatives. This position requires up to 50% travel.
Key job responsibilities
• Define pilot criteria and success metrics to validate prototype technologies and processes.
• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and deliver initiatives on time according to a defined workback schedule.
• Deliver PoC and testing reports, detailing methodology, results, analysis, and recommendations.
• Validate the feasibility, scalability, and impact of proposed technologies and processes on returns management.
• Quantify improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and recovery value through testing and proof-of-concept (PoC) pilots.
• Make recommendations on how to scale, operationalize, and enhance proven concepts.
• Develop recommendations for full-scale implementation based on PoC outcomes and experimental findings.
• Develop an implementation roadmap for successful initiatives.
• Create knowledge transfer artifacts and mechanisms.
• Influence design and development of strategic processes.
• Own program communication; accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, removing barriers, escalating as appropriate.
• Provide weekly updates to key stakeholders, including senior and operational leaders, to ensure alignment and support for potential implementation phases.
• Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
