The company now employs over 300 employees, and is a six-time recipient of Chicago’s Best and Brightest Employers to Work For award. **Summary** Accountable for developing and managing program schedules and deliverables for all programs within assigned accounts, as well as standard day to day program management activities. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties as assigned. + Work with and lead cross-functional internal and external teams for customer program success. + Strong management skills, particularly to influence management and facilitate conflict resolution. + Ability to understand, track, drill-down and question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data. + Knowledge of marketing, marketing communications and product launch. + Hands-on strategic program management of both existing and new accounts within the aerospace market. + Will manage and work in cooperation with engineering teams to come to an end product. + Challenges include customizing product to meet OEM requirements while maintaining product standards, integrity, serviceability and short cycle time. + Maintain detailed records of current and prospective customers, grow revenue within the current account base, identify market needs/trends along with recommendations for program improvements and development of new programs. + Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements. + Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed. + Working knowledge of ISO/9001/14000/13485 and AS9100 processes. **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of project management in a high technology organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. + Solid background and understanding of custom product and solution sales techniques. + Experience in transforming customer desires into technical requirements over extended lead and delivery-times. + Strong technical background with engineering experience. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong presentation skills. + Solution and complex product sales experience. + Experience building strong business relationships at multiple levels of management. + General knowledge of project related finance/budgeting, including the ability to read and understand financial data. + Knowledge of program management tools and procedures. + Moderate travel within the U.S. and international locations may be required. **Preferred:** + Experience in the area of manufactured products. + Experience with thermoplastics, cabling, and international production. + Background experience from the following industries will be considered helpful: + Aerospace or Military + Wire and cable + Connectors + RF: Coax + Plastic Coating + Proficiency and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Project. + History of managing accounts with annual sales volumes in excess of $5 million. **Astronics CSC offers a competitive benefit package which is available to full-time employees.
