Sr. Program Manager - Vendor Management, Amazon Logistics (AMZL)

To that end, Amazon is seeking a strategic and tactical leader, with a penchant for process deployment, communication, boots on the ground, root cause dive deep, and roll up-your-sleeves success.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the end-to-end program management of the deployment, implementation and launch of the strategic programs and to effectively engage with stakeholders across various teams and to drive actionable solutions to unique challenges.


Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Strategic and tactical leadership of last mile quality initiatives
•Cross functional coordination and task tracking
•Communications across various teams to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to guarantee the overall success of the programs
•Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution
•Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
•Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs; we work fast and hard
• Management and execution of cross-functional projects or components of large programs including data gathering, manipulation and analysis, forward looking supply chain approaches and communication of insights & recommendations
•Creating and implementing improvements to our transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products on behalf of our customers
•Deployment to various geographies within Mexico in order to launch the most innovative delivery solutions.

A day in the life
- Review metrics of third party providers on a regional/national scale to find root causes on several defects.
- Write documents to ask for resources, support, guidance from leadership.
- Discuss opportunities to improve quality of providers.
- Work with BI teams to improve automation on information for analytics.
- Meet with providers to explain the metrics they need to deliver.

To achieve this goal, we partner with a network of small independent delivery businesses (Delivery Service Partners) to deliver customer orders. Utilizing continuous improvement initiatives and creative thinking, we support our Delivery Station teams to ensure that millions of packages reach their final destination as efficiently as possible.
