The group provides business strategy and integrated financial services to clients. Being in line with CIBC’s core purpose: to help make our client’s ambitions a reality, the CIBC US offer focuses on integrated relationship management, where Investment Management Trust, Fiduciary, Asset Management, and Wealth Strategies teams work together to deliver customized financial solutions. In addition, CIBC US also offer Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Financing and Community Banking solutions to clients. **JOB PURPOSE** The Sr. Project Associate is responsible for coordinating and preparing project schedules, assigning work to the project team, monitoring progress, responding to changing priorities and adjusting work schedules. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to assist in the development and delivery of key project planning initiatives such as the project charter, project scope, and project schedule. The Sr. Project Associate exercises independent judgement within defined procedures, tracking progress and making recommendations on response plans for risks, resolution plans for issues and results on action items. Working with limited direction, the Sr. Project Associate proactively identifies any deviations to the project schedule and recommends corrective action to the project manager to mitigate risk. **KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES** + This position will have responsibility for supporting the operations of various program initiatives. + Work with stakeholders to schedule and facilitate meetings. + Create status reports, meeting minutes, and presentations. + Maintain up-to-date risks, actions, issues, and decisions logs. + Track follow-ups, ensuring that the teams adhere to the project management approach and expectations. + Assist the workstreams with creating business requirement documents, process maps, or other project artifacts and analyzing project needs.  + Work collaboratively with the bank project managers and stakeholders to track progress on workplans and milestones. + Support maintenance and tracking of program budget(s) + The position will often support more than one project at a time. **CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS** + Be the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams. **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** ( _e.g., technical, programming language, management experience etc.)_ + Be highly detail oriented and have strong organizational and communication skills. + Adapts well to fast-paced and changing environment. + Curious about the bank, its strategies, its businesses and its people. + Ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and team members. + Strong analytical skills; ability to apply logical solutions to business problems. + Ability to track project expenses against an agreed upon budget. + Ability to identify issues and properly document them. + Work with project managers to build project, skillset, and resource plans. + Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders. + Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. + Work independently with users to define concepts, under the direction of project managers. + Three years of professional experience, in support of projects in the financial services industry, preferable. + Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. + Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint experience preferred. + College degree required **WORKING CONDITIONS** + Hybrid - This role operates within a normal office environment when in the office **TRAVEL REQUIRE** **D** __ Frequent __ Occasional _X_ No California residents — your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employment (https://us.cibc.com/en/about-us/california-consumer-privacy-act-employment.html) **What CIBC Offers** At CIBC, your goals are a priority.
