What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Strategic Initiatives team where you’ll work closely with others to support a portfolio of projects and programs from end-to-end. As a Sr. Project Associate, you’ll support teams of Program Managers, stakeholders and business partners to ensure projects of all sizes are executed in compliance with CIBC’s governance standards, and are completed in line with the team’s budget and timeline. You’ll use your expertise in project management methodology to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project deliverables.
How you'll succeed
Program Support – Support creation of and maintain project and program standard deliverables, including project and program plans, resource requirements, budget forecasts, RAID log, and status reports. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by the team, and provide guidance that will continuously improve the project plan and associated deliverables.
Teamwork – Help internal partners make informed conclusions about the development of programs, products, and services. Work closely with teams as you work toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
Project Coordination – Proactively identify anything that will take projects off schedule and collaborate on solutions to correct the problem. Monitor milestones, and ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets.
Status Reporting – Create drafts of weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for a variety of audiences, including board of directors and other executives. You will leverage your strong PowerPoint skills to deliver these reports.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $85K - $105K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
