Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description

The Project Manager will coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure that deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. This role involves managing project tasks for development projects, particularly new orders and new contracts, rather than the build-to-print or contract manufacturing side of the business. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate the technical scope with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while adhering to company quality standards and procedures. Additionally, the role requires partnering with engineers to discuss and negotiate design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines, and managing communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.

The work environment consists of a small site with office space, an assembly area, and a lab area. The office is modest and located in a small business park, alongside other companies such as Maxar Technologies. The client is a space avionics and sensor systems company, serving commercial, space, and defense markets since 2001. The company has developed, manufactured, and tested video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecraft, as well as control systems for experiments and payloads, data management equipment, and sequencing systems for the timing, control, and capture of spacecraft ejection telemetry. The client has played a key role in major space missions, including the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, and NASA's Artemis program, with over 150 successful missions.
