Sr. Project Engineer – Pharmaceutical Applications
Responsibilities Review, understand and execute the scope as defined in the order entry package – both technically and commercially for pharmaceutical projects Prepare GAANT chart for project, update changes in real time and communicate with customer when changes occur Manage all aspects of the project to assure the project is completed on time and within budget Responsible for transmission of drawings and all technical and commercial documents to customers and obtaining drawing approvals (and decisions in a timely manner) to maintain project schedules Responsible for regular communication with customers during the course of the project, including travel for onsite customer and vendor meetings Collaborate with other Engineering, Sales, Production and Vendors as required during the execution of project tasks as required Contract and oversee vendors for integrated parts of the scope of work Responsible for obtaining change orders from customers prior to executing any requested scope changes Propose alternatives and solutions to Engineering management when cost overruns or technical issues arise prior to discussing same with customer Responsible for building customer relationships by providing timely feedback and open communication during project execution Participate in project review meetings and be prepared to talk technical and commercial details related to project execution Responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of Jr. Project Engineers and may oversee and direct the work of Project Engineers Travel to jobsite, as required for commissioning Other tasks as assigned by Management
Qualifications 14+ years of experience managing pharmaceutical projects Powder processing experience includes size reduction, classification, mixing/drying, pneumatic conveying and air systems Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Access) AutoCAD experience, a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
