Sr. Project Manager
We are helping our client fill multiple Sr. Project Manager positions in the Athens/Huntsville/Decatur, Alabama area. If you have a proven track record of driving large, multi-million dollar projects to completion, these positions could offer you your next challenges to overcome.

Due to the requirements of federal government contracts, U.S. citizenship is required for these roles. The initial term of these contract assignments is two years. Target pay rate of $75-$85/hour (possibly higher for superior candidates) with time-and-one-half for overtime.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects according to specifications, within budget, from initiation through completion
- Lead Joint Project Teams (JPTs)
- Apply professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risk to ensure project is completed within a certain set of restraints (e.g., time, budget, people, quality, materials) and at a high level of quality
- Generally responsible for large, multifaceted projects
- Act as the single point of contact regarding specific projects and assume the leadership role in safely managing project(s)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to manage large project budgets over $25 million or a portfolio of projects that have an aggregate total exceeding $75 million
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or related technical field; OR, in lieu of a degree, equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience (Master’s degree preferred)
- Current Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) (or the ability and plan to obtain the certification after assuming the role of Senior Project Manager
- Demonstrated desire to excel in professional field of study as demonstrated by certification/licensure in professional field of study preferred (e.g. PE, CPA, CFP, etc.)
