Sr. Project Manager
Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in executing capital program electrical utility transmissions and utilities infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing scope, schedule, and budget while providing strong leadership to build rapport with the team and ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities + Manage the scope, schedule, and budget for utility transmission and infrastructure projects. + Provide strong leadership and build positive relationships with the project team. + Ensure project team members are motivated and aligned with project goals. + Coordinate and oversee substation and construction management activities. + Utilize critical path method scheduling for project planning. + Conduct team meetings and manage digital notes and documentation. Essential Skills + Project management experience in utilities and transmission. + Knowledge of utility engineering practices, with an emphasis on transmission and substation. + Experience with critical path method scheduling. + Understanding of power circuit breakers and transformers. + Proficiency in Excel, Good Earth, mapping tools, and PDF markup. + Strong communication and active listening skills. + Experience with generator interconnection, electrical power distribution, and Oracle. + PMP certification preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited school preferred. + 5 or more years of related experience in utility design and/or utility experience. + 5 or more years of project management experience. + Proficiency with P6 project management software. Work Environment The work environment includes flexible hours from 6am-5pm or 6pm, ideally around 7am-5pm. The position follows a hybrid model, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office with the team, and the option to choose between Monday to Friday for the remaining days. The office setting involves working in cubicles, with a few days a month spent in the field for preliminary assessments. This is a 3-year contract position with the option to go direct at the end, offering room for growth, 2 weeks of PTO, and 10 holidays. The projects involve renewable energy interconnection, solar plants, and battery plants, with opportunities to work with third parties on energy production and grid integration. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
