Sr. Proposal Manager (Hybrid and Remote Eligible)

As a Sr Proposal Manager, you'll execute proposal strategy and drive the bid submission process from initial contact through contract signing for our cutting edge products and services, including winning. You'll direct complex proposal activities in accordance with the request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Your duties will also include a review and approve proposals to ensure the appropriate themes are incorporated and resolving conficts in team dynamics and condensed project timelines. Learn more about MST (https://www.sncorp.com/careers/mission-solutions-technologies/) _This role is open to a hybrid schedule or 100% remote work in most states_ **Responsibilities:** + Managing the Proposal Support Team to ensure sufficient resources are available for all proposal activities + Managing complex proposals and bid preparations as assigned, to include solicitation review, organizing the proposal team, managing reviews, and ensuring a compliant, complete, clear and compelling proposal + Coordinating proposal efforts with business development, capture management, program management, engineering, operations, contracts, finance, contractors, subcontractors and human resources + Train/equip the proposal team while streamlining processes so that there is commonality and consistency across BA proposals + Establishing/refining existing templates, tools and guidelines for continuous improvement of the proposal process + Organization and management of Proposal Support Team Sharepoint and Teams sites in conjunction with IT personnel **Must-haves:** + Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education + 5+ years experience as a Proposal Manager including scheduling and leading proposal kick-off meetings, leading solution sessions, facilitating color team review meetings, enforcing proposal governance, and delivering the completed proposal on time + 10+ Years of experience supporting DoD or similar customers with bids and proposals, including OTAs and competitive proposals + Experience supporting small and large proposals valued at $300M or more + Advanced experience with simultaneously managing multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery + Extensive technical, proposal writing and proposal management experience with emphasis in technical products and logistics services + Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others + Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment + Understanding of program management to include, scheduling, organization and technical management/system engineering concepts + Full understanding of Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and procedures + Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences + The ability to obtain a **security clearance** is required. **Preferred:** + **Strongly prefer experience managing a Proposal Support organization** consisting of Proposal Managers, Proposal Coordinators, Graphic Designers, Production Specialists, and other specialties responsible for proposal development and delivery. + Experience with industry leading tools including Visible Thread, Microsoft Dynamics, etc. + Ability to digest complex proposals and solutions into simplistic concepts + Ability to work independently as a proposal manager and lead a small proposal team, as needed At Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
