Role Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in leading and executing strategic sourcing activities, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives across various sub-categories. This role will collaborate closely with program management teams to identify new opportunities for savings and optimize supplier relationships. This position is located onsite in Normal, IL and reports to the Senior Manager of MRO Purchasing. Responsibilities RFP Sourcing Activities: Lead the strategic sourcing activities, including managing supplier contracts and ensuring compliance with agreed terms. Manage full sourcing lifecycle from RFP creation, supplier negotiation, award, and contract management. Supplier Management & QBRs: Conduct regular Supplier Performance Management (SPM) activities, including ongoing project management support and quarterly business reviews (QBRs). Ensure the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key suppliers to achieve continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables. Category Strategy & Management: Develop and implement category strategies for assigned sub-categories to drive optimal sourcing and savings. Continuously evaluate and assess category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction. Spend Analysis & Opportunity Assessment: Perform in-depth spend analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost-saving or supplier consolidation within assigned sub-categories. Conduct comprehensive opportunity assessments to provide actionable recommendations for business and supply chain improvements. New Supplier Development: Identify and develop new supplier relationships to expand the supplier base and improve sourcing opportunities. Assess and onboard new suppliers to improve competitive pricing and quality. Collaboration with Program Management: Work closely with program management teams to identify and implement additional savings opportunities, optimizing the overall sourcing and procurement strategy. Provide strategic input on project planning, cost estimation, and supplier engagement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring. Proficiency in spend analysis, cost modeling, and procurement software/tools. Demonstrated success in driving cost-saving initiatives and sourcing strategies within specific categories. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience with category management and supplier performance metrics. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $89,900 - $112,400 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
