Sr. Quality Assurance Manager

SUMMARY:
Develop and maintain an effective Quality Assurance Program to ensure proper compliance with government contractual requirements, aircraft maintenance requirements, practices, and procedures with emphasis on compliance with Ground and Flight Operations Procedures and the Repair Station Quality Manual.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with program, company and contractual. requirements.AAR APRISe business unit (Program) focal point.Implement and ensure the conduct of internal audit and corrective action program. Prepares for and acts as focal point for ISO, DCMA, DCAA, GGR, GFR, US Government and customer quality/safety audits.Participate in all flight safety meetings. External and internal audit focal point.Ensure that corrective and preventive actions follow effective root-cause analysis processes.Actas an advocate for high quality/safe operations.Ensure that quality policies and procedures are adhered to at all sites.Walk each maintenance hangar daily and report findings in AAR Quality System APRise. Initiate APRISe events as needed to track issue resolution. Pay particular attention to FOD prevention, general housekeeping in the hangar, on Support Equipment and on the aircraft.Work with the Customer and Supplier Quality Departments to resolve issues but be an independent advocate for “Doing it Right.”Work closely with DCMA and Customer representatives to resolve problems and improve processes.Make recommendations for procedure or process changes that lead to improved quality and safety.Become familiar with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs as it applies to the P-8A Poseidon, C-40 Clipper, and other military aircraft depot efforts.All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of experience in aircraft Depot, MRO, or Repair environment.Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Naval or Military Aviation Quality Assurance or DCMA experience is desired.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Must have the ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).Quality Management/Audit credential preferred.Inspection authorization is preferred.Naval or Military Aviation Maintenance Experience is desired.
