General Summary

This position is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspecting construction materials or elements in a laboratory or field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications.

Essential Job Accountabilities

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products

Obtain and maintain certifications as required to perform testing.

Maintain thorough understanding of specifications, testing and reporting requirements.

Ability to communicate and schedule QC activities with crew and inspection personnel.

Ability to interpret specifications and discuss/argue with crew and inspection staff.

Ability to make decisions based on knowledge of specifications and testing requirements.

Interprets engineering drawings to make sure work is being performed in accordance with plans and specifications.

Collect material samples, send samples to lab, interpret test results and distribute information to crews and inspection staff.

Maintain all QC log books and reports in accordance with specifications.

Follow all OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures, including attendance at safety meetings 

Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience

4+ years of related experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills, intermediate proficiency in Excel
