Sr. Quality Technician
**Quality Technician** **$23 - $25/HR** **Job Description** For more than 40 years, our client has supported the mission-critical objectives of the nation’s largest military and commercial organizations. They design, engineer, and manufacture products, platforms, and solutions in their 100,000 square foot facility in Lewis Center, Ohio. **Responsibilities** + Utilize standard and advanced measurement equipment/tools and manage quality records and documentation. + Strong mechanical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5). + Verify the correct layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies, hardware, and components. + Verify proper crimps, wire stripping, wire installation, and PWB assembly. + Verify engineering requirements for mechanical and electrical components, drawings, and specifications. + Verify plated and painted areas for uniformity. + Follow engineering and inspection documents to ensure all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications and PO requirements. + Perform sampling, inspections, documentation review, data entry, and record keeping as required. Prepare required documents for shipment of the product. + Assist management in conducting and documenting formal procedures, inquiries, and investigations to determine the cause of quality or problems and recommend verbal and/or written corrective action to management. + Interact effectively with coworkers and management to resolve problems. + Coordinate or perform calibration of all equipment and fixtures. **Essential Skills** + Experience with quality measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics. + 1-5 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing setting. + Working knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949. + Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. + Proficiency in Excel and data entry. + Ability to lift 40 pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CMM experience. + 5-10 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance. + Supervisory experience or team leader experience. + Experience with blueprint reading, calipers, micrometers, metal fabrication, machine set up, and CNC programming. + High School diploma. + Knowledge of IPC 610, J-STD-001, and IPC-620 standards is highly desired. + Organizational skills and good verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEWIS CENTER, Ohio. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
