About This Job
The Senior Relationship Manager for Small Business Banking is tasked with managing and nurturing a portfolio of larger and more complex business banking relationships. This role centers on building strong connections with business owners, understanding their financial needs, and delivering customized banking solutions. The primary objective is to drive business growth by identifying opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services. Additionally, this role will lead and inspire a team of Relationship Managers to achieve sales targets.Responsibilities:
Manages a portfolio and pipeline of large and complex small business banking relationshipsAct as the main point of contact for assigned small business clients, both current and prospective.Enhance and expand existing relationships by ensuring exceptional client experience and effectively cross-selling additional bank products and services.Generate new client leads through cross-selling and responding to requests for information.Utilize reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and convert sales opportunities.Conduct outreach to generate new business, including responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, making outbound calls, opening new accounts, and following up on funding.Perform client interviews through onboarding, welcome calls and nurturing calls to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business and banking needs.Provide guidance and support to other Relationship Managers on the team, acting in a lead capacity to facilitate workflow and collaboration.Achieve individual sales goals related to deposit growth, fee income, cross-selling, and customer satisfaction.Oversee the performance of up to three or more Relationship Managers, ensuring they meet their sales goals/targets.Approve transactions within the Small Business Banking Group’s established guidelines.Propose and implement improvements to processes, products, services, and client experiences to enhance productivity.Establish and develop effective relationships with internal partnersPilot and test new channels and nichesManage risk and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations to drive quality for new and/or existing relationships.Other duties as assigned from time to time by direct supervisor
Requirements
2-4 years in a Relationship Manager related role within Business Banking or a related financial services sector (must have)Previous experience leading or mentoring teams of relationship managers or sales professionals is preferredProven sales acumen and client service skills.
