\nThe Sr. Reporter for Private Credit, for Leveraged Commentary & Data (LCD), tracks loan issuance and trends in the fast-growing private credit, direct lending, and middle market loan space, reporting on deals as they emerge via LCD’s market-leading real-time news and analysis platform. The Sr. Reporter also conceives of and leads the execution of major trend stories/special projects, working with the Managing Editor, and represents PitchBook LCD in private credit thought leadership.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
\n\nProduce real-time stories detailing the rapidly growing type of financing, private credit, along the sometimes-rocky path from issuance mandate to repayment or bankruptcy \nFollow trends, market moves, industry developments, and the personalities behind deal activity \nProduce in-depth analytical pieces detailing trends in the leveraged loan and leveraged finance marketplace and how these segments interact relying on sources/interviews and LCD research \nCultivate and maintain market sources \nContribute to other public-facing news and analytical content, such as webinars, videos, and Q&As with market leaders \nRepresent PitchBook LCD via thought leadership in the private credit markets \nWork with Data Operations, PitchBook analysts, and designers on creating and maintaining data or news-related initiatives \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n\n
Skills and Qualifications:
\n\n3+ years of experience covering financial markets, ideally with a background in leveraged finance, debt, or structured finance \nAbility to work with data, in Excel, PowerPoint, etc. \nExcellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills \nFamiliarity with credit, private credit, and corporate debt markets \nAbility to work effectively under real-time deadlines \nAbility to work effectively as part of highly productive team \nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily \n\n\n

Compensation
\n\nAnnual base salary: $110,000-$130,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 10%\n\n\n
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:
\nWe believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
\nThe job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
