The University of Miami is currently seeking a Senior Research Assistant to work at Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami. The incumbent explores innovations to research and strives to improve implementation and family outcomes. Further, the Senior Research Assistant ensures compliance with University policies, rules, and regulations to meet federal, state, and local standards pertaining to safety and ethics.
Core Job Summary
1. Plans and implements research experiments, according to research protocols, to assure high quality scientific results in support of applicable project goals.
2. Participates in assessing feasibility of implementing innovations.
3. Assesses data trends and develops reports and presentations.
4. Supports the initiation of new research by reviewing and synthesizing literature.
5. Oversees inventory of supplies and equipment and places orders in a timely fashion.
6. Provides assistance in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts.
7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions
• Responsible for conducting participant psychosocial assessments.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and protocol adherence.
• Delivers VL results and brief supportive counseling to participants.
• Conducts the data collection for the COSTA economic analysis.
• Helps to develop materials, and ensuring that necessary study materials are available to the coordinator, PIs or COSTA specialists.
• Manages the study calendar.
• Responsible for setting up study meetings.
• Keeps meeting minutes.
• Conducts literature searches.
