Job Summary The Senior Revenue Cycle Architect will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to continuously analyze and enhance EMR workflows, aiming to improve operational efficiency across the WMCHealth Network.
Responsibilities:
Promote revenue cycle improvements across the network by collaborating with Revenue Integrity, Health Information Management, Patient Accounts, and Patient Access. Perform and report ongoing trend analysis to ensure daily and monthly consistency in charge capture. Communicate across revenue cycle teams to maintain transparency regarding system changes, and new build implementation. Lead charge services initiatives, including training, design, and testing of new services lines and/or charge builds. Develop and implement tiering logic within CS Tier Maintenance to serve the needs of all facilities for both professional and technical charge capture. Establish and/or validate charge build within the CS Pricing Tool to assure build accurately generates charges based on tier, charge schedule and activity type. Troubleshoot and recover any potential missed revenue due to incorrect build or documentation errors. Work closely with Patient Accounting for resubmitting claims for corrected charges and/or upon suspended charge resolution. Evaluate current workflows for process improvement opportunities to maximize charge capture and ensure timely and accurate claims submission. Conduct meetings with clinical and revenue cycle teams to facilitate troubleshooting processes and improve inefficiencies. Serve as a revenue cycle representative on core project teams regarding implementation, upgrade, and optimization of network EMR systems. Provide status reports to revenue cycle leadership regarding ongoing projects. Collaborate with IT on routine revenue cycle build and maintenance. Perform troubleshooting audits through backend queries. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in healthcare revenue cycle related experience, preferred Creative thinking, problem solving, project management and data analytical skills Prior IT experience and strong knowledge of various EMR systems Advanced in Microsoft office suite applications
