Immediate opportunity for Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our global chemical client in Eastern North Carolina area. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on rotating equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across multiple facilities. This role requires strong decision-making, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  Responsibilities: Monitor rotating equipment performance, analyze trends, and propose action plans. Provide specialized technical support for equipment specification, design, quality assurance, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Support outages and turnarounds by reviewing plans and offering expertise in equipment disassembly and repair. Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) on equipment design, repairs, and improvements. Act as a liaison between facilities and vendors to address common issues and escalate concerns. Lead the development of rotating equipment mechanical integrity programs and internal practices. Contribute to industry knowledge by participating in professional organizations and sharing best practices. Mentor junior engineers, operators, and maintenance technicians on rotating equipment concepts. Stay updated on industry trends and seek opportunities to implement new technologies.   Qualifications: BS Mechanical Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience reliability/ maintenance of rotating equipment. 5+ years of hands-on experience in rotating equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, and equipment selection. Knowledge of ASME and API Standards, Process Industry Practices (PIP), and vibration analysis related to rotating equipment. Experience in chemicals, refinery, pulp & paper, fertilizer or petrochemical facilities. Familiarity with process safety management and quality control programs.
