Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst, Field and Support Systems

Snowflake’s Sales Strategy and Planning team is seeking a Senior Sales Incentive Compensation Strategy Analyst to join our growing team. In this high impact role, you will collaborate closely with representatives from sales, sales operations, finance, and IT to automate compensation systems and processes for all go-to-market roles. You will also be critical in helping us identify and drive opportunities for future automation and process optimization to support our next stage of growth.

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Sales Compensation Strategy, you will oversee all Sales Compensation automation projects and support our monthly data review process. You will apply effective communication skills to gather and convey business requirements, deliver enablement to the field for all relevant changes, and provide ongoing field support. You will partner with BI, Sales Ops, and Finance to ensure all sales comp data is delivered to Finance accurately and on time. You will also use your strong project management skills to lead complex cross-functional projects related to systems and process optimization. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

Develop a deep understanding of Snowflake’s sales model, sales compensation plans, metrics, policies, reporting tools, and data structures to inform a best in class incentive compensation program.

Lead compensation automation projects end to end (leading discovery, documenting business requirements, securing IT prioritization, QA testing, communications and field enablement).

Provide ongoing support to the field and business partners for all questions related to compensation processes and systems.

Identify opportunities for automation of existing processes and systems. Work with Finance, Sales Operations, BI, and IT teams to bring these ideas to life. 

Partner with extended teams to conduct a monthly data audit to ensure all Sales Comp data is delivered to Finance accurately and on time. 

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE :

5+ years of industry experience preferably within the enterprise software space

2+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, sales operations, or similar roles

Knowledge of incentive plan structures; bookings and revenue-based incentive plans, quotas, accelerators, pay mix, leverage points, associated policies and governance frameworks.

Proven track record of proactively identifying a problem statement, conducting analysis, ability to take initiative and produce results, including a history of bringing projects successfully to completion.

Proven track record of effective collaboration with business partners

Experience creating  business requirements documents and current/future state assessments.

Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Ability to work independently and consider cross-functional and upstream/downstream impacts.

Experience with Snowflake, Xactly, Anaplan, and Tableau a huge plus.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $154,000 - $215,200.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
