Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.

 

Hours for this role are Monday-Friday -  9am-6pm local time (for CT and MT), 8am-5pm (PT)

Job Summary Communicates with internal and external customers about policy coverages and limits: following underwriting guidelines, policies and marketing initiatives. Utilizes competencies and skills to provide a positive customer experience. Proficient in multiple lines of business across a multi-carrier offering. Essential Job Functions Quotes, sells and books premium while working as a field underwriter and in the best interest of all parties. Clarify and resolve complex insurance needs for external customers Reviews insurance risks and communicates with appropriate personnel to obtain underwriting approval. Provides basic service requests to consumers. Attains performance level standards as outlined in performance objectives Continues to build personal skill set by participating in in-house or outside insurance or industry related courses or seminars as deemed necessary to expand product and system knowledge. Stays current with relevant product(s), which includes all specialty lines. Understands and supports organization’s overall strategy. Models Farmers core values. Performs other duties as assigned Physical Actions Besides some sedentary work, job duties require some or all of the following physical activities: Standing, carrying/lifting up to 10 pounds, seeing and hearing, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling, and speaking, reading, and writing.Physical Environment Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Maintains resident/non-resident property and casualty license. Completion of required additional training.Experience Requirements

Two years of sales experience. 

Special Skill Requirement Advanced conflict resolution skills Consistently meeting or exceeding performance measurement goals. Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Qualification
