The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.As a part of Compliance Technology, the SAS AML Developer/Implementer will support multiple business lines through Development, Enhancement and Implementation of SAS AML, GRID, VIYA, and related technologies. This individual will work closely with business analysts, developers and modelers to understand requirements and create Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Detailed Design Documents (DDDs), Data Sourcing Documents (DSDs) and Unit Test Plans (UTPs). They will also support development and testing environments for SAS solutions and advise on necessary patches and upgrades.
The Developer/Implementer partners with geographically distributed stakeholders across a variety of businesses and functions. Experience in various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and having a solid understanding of SAS Grid, SAS VIYA 4.0, SQL programming and Unix Shell scripting is a must.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating Functional and Detailed Design documents, Software Configuration Plans and Unit Test Plans.
Responsible for extraction, transformation and load of data using SQL Loader and SAS Base code through various hops of SAS AML Platform.
Responsible for administering and maintaining non-production environments for SAS GRID, SAS AML, and SAS VIYA.
Create SAS DataFlux workflows using SAS Quality Knowledge Base.
Implement Entity Resolution using SAS DQ/DataFlux.
Experience implementing, programming, and administering SAS GRID, SAS AML, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Visual Analytics, and SAS VIYA.
Customize SAS Alert Generation Process modules to meet specific business requirements.
Creation of SAS Prep Data for custom scenarios and enhancements to existing scenarios in SAS.
Create Visual Analytics and SOLR reports for data analysis. Also responsible for ad-hoc data analysis reports to support production issues.
Create UNIX shell scripts to call SAS jobs from scheduling tools like Autosys.
Create scripts to handle calls between SAS modules.
Analysis, preparation and update technical documentation within the project team following prescribed Bank technical policy and procedures.
Identification and escalation of risks, issues, and blockers
Collaboration with business analysts to understand requirements, review designs, conduct testing and demonstrate products.
Proactive communication of compliance application changes to Information Technology for the Americas (ITA) and business stakeholders
Mentoring and coaching team members and participation in all aspects of SAS architecture, design, development and testing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Science or related required
7+ years of experience in software development in cross functional teams
7+ years of experience implementing technology solutions at banks or financial institutions.
3+ years of experience implementing and administering SAS AML on Grid or VIYA 4.0
3+ years of experience implementing and administering SAS Enterprise Miner, APM, and SAS Management Console
3+ years of experience writing complex queries in SAS
5+ years of experience writing complex queries in Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server
5+ years of experience writing Unix shell scripts
Exposure to SAS GRID and SAS VIYA on Red Hat OpenShift technology; exposure to Kubernetes
Experience with new server implementations and Commvault
Experience with data extraction, transformation and load using SAS Base code and SQL Loader
Experience performing Quality Knowledge Base workflows and Entity Resolution using SAS DataFlux.
Experience customizing SAS Alert Generation Process modules.
Experience using Visual Analytics, SOLR or other analytic reporting platforms.
Experience with JBoss, tomcat or similar web app servers.
Experience with web services such as REST, SOAP and WSDL
Well organized and demonstrates strong technical proficiency in system analysis and application design.
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Well organized and be able to simultaneously manage several disparate tasks over varying timescales.
Self-motivated, and able to troubleshoot issues independently.
Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
In-depth knowledge of Compliance Risks and Risk Management, including Anti-Money Laundering.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience writing FDDs and DDDs.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant industry certifications. Equivalent work experience equally preferable.
Other Qualifications:
As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy, must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of Jersey City, NJ (preferred) or Tampa, FL office.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
