Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Scientist to join our team in designing and executing experimental studies in the laboratory. This role involves performing laboratory experiments, analytical testing, and preparing and scheduling laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership during manufacturing and development, support the generation of manufacturing and development documentation, and perform data analysis to reach actionable conclusions.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute experimental studies in the laboratory.Perform laboratory experiments and analytical testing for client projects.Prepare and schedule laboratory equipment for experiments.Provide technical leadership of client products during manufacturing and development.Direct technical communication with clients during manufacturing and development.Support manufacturing in identifying and resolving manufacturing process issues.Generate experiment protocols and reports for development projects.Generate draft batch records and other manufacturing documentation.Generate manufacturing risk assessments, such as FMEA.Compile and analyze experimental data.Present experimental data internally and externally.Perform team building for effective internal information transfer.Essential Skills6+ years of experience in cell banking, GMP, MSAT, and technical research.Bioprocess, cell culture, validation protocols, biology, and laboratory skills.Experience in aseptic cell processing, cell culture, and cell analytics.Strong communication skills and ability to use specific process and analytical equipment.Technical writing skills and experience in preparing protocols, reports, and presentations.Basic understanding of the technical principles, theories, and concepts of cell therapy or similar products.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science or engineering discipline.Experience in working effectively and delegating tasks in a team-based environment.Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to specific timelines and budgets.Cell & Gene therapy experience. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Cell Therapy manufacturing.Work Environment
The role requires the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and with clients. You must be able to work during weekends, holidays, and as required by the company. There may be exposure to infectious diseases transmittable through human blood, tissues, or bodily fluids. The role involves handling standard/moderate noise of the manufacturing facility and working with hazardous materials and chemicals. The environment requires gowning, hair net, safety glasses, gloves, and foot coverings. The role operates within a professional office environment of a manufacturing operations plant and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Seating is mixed and includes open space seating, cubicle, and office space.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00
